Description
Eyes in the night. Blind detective McLain investigates the murder of Miss Lawry's boyfriend with the aid of his seeing-eye dog. The only clue is the odor of violets in the room. From this clue McLain builds a case against Nazi spies headed by someone close to Miss Lawry. Kennel murder case. Detective Philo Vance grapples with a classic sealed-room murder mystery involving participants in a snooty Long Island dog show. The limping man: An ex G.I. returns to England to look up a wartime girlfriend and rekindle their romance. He soon realizes his ex-girlfriend has become involved with racketeers but before he can untangle her mess, he helps the local police track down a deadly sniper. The spy in white: Set in Turkey this spy thriller is about two guards who lose their jobs when they get into a fight with an Arab prince who tries to seduce one of their girl friends and discover that the prince is about to overthrow the Turkish government.
